Trump Lost
Donald Trump lost the election. The final Electoral College vote will likely be 306 for Biden and 232 for Trump. That is the same number of electoral votes Trump beat Clinton by in 2016 (270towin). In contrast Biden leads Trump by 2.9 percent in the popular vote. Biden has gotten 50.6 percent of the popular while Trump received 47.7 percent of the vote. In both 2016 and 2020, Trump lost the popular vote. He is currently trailing Biden by of 2.9 percent of the popular vote while he lost the popular vote to Hilary Clinton by 2.1 percent. (Wikipedia).
Our Election Process is Sound
We track and verify every vote, making systematic fraud impossible. Trump carried on about mail-in ballots and implied there were no control on them. As the Associate Press (AP) reported after the first debate, “President Donald Trump continued his assault on the integrity of the U.S. elections…, spreading falsehoods about the security of voting and misrepresenting issues with mail ballots. In the final segment of the contentious debate between Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, Trump launched into an extended argument against mail voting, claiming without evidence that it is ripe for fraud and suggesting mail ballots may be “manipulated.”
Voting by Mail
I voted by mail. I have voted by mail in the past as well. It is a sound process. I requested the ballot using an online form which triggered a tracking record being created. My request was assigned a unique number and I could check the status of the ballot through a website. When my ballot was mailed the post office scanned it so (just like with FedEx) it could be tracked through the mailing process. The system recorded the day I received the ballot. Fearing the mail system might not be able to handle the volume of mail expected, I returned my ballot via a drop box at the government center in my county. A few days later the online system showed that my ballot had been received. (In the state my son lives in, they actually send an email to tell you your ballot has been received). With multiple people (that include both Republicans and Democrats) reviewing each ballot and cameras taping the process, there is no opportunity to corrupt the system.
Still Inflicting Damage
The only corruption in play is coming from Donald Trump. These law suits are absurd and his behavior is abhorrent.
